PR Hartman Productions is the effort of founder Paul Hartman and his wife, Kristi. They currently produce five muskie fishing tournaments -- the Metro Muskie Tournament held on 16 Twin Cities area muskie lakes in June, and four big-money tournaments held on Lake Vermilion in July, Lake Mille Lacs in August, Cass and Leech Lakes in September and Lake Minnetonka in October. The Minnesota Muskie Tournament Trail attracts a combined 750 participants annually. A premium line of muskie fishing tackle and muskie fishing guide service are also endeavors of PR Hartman Productions.The company evolved from Paul's interest in fishing. In the early 1990s, he began freelance writing for several outdoor publications, guiding for muskies on Twin Cities area lakes, and manufacturing muskie tackle. In 1997, Paul expanded his passion for the fishing industry to include producing the Wisconsin and Minnesota Walleye Expos and the Minnesota Muskie Tournaments. In 2000, all the interests were merged under one single umbrella, PR Hartman Productions. |

 Paul HartmanFounder Paul Hartman is an avid outdoorsman who has lived in Minnesota all his life. His interest in fishing started at age five and has since brought him to some of the Midwest's and Ontario's best fisheries. Paul's primary pursuit is for the muskie, as displayed by his lifelong commitment to the sport and to the welfare of the muskie fishery itself. In addition, he spends plenty of time chasing after salmon, trout, catfish, panfish, and, of course, walleye and bass. In the 1990s, Paul had started the Metro Muskie Company. Under this name, he began manufacturing muskie spinner baits and bucktails and guiding for muskies on Twin Cities area lakes, Mille Lacs, and in the Grand Rapids area. He promoted Minnesota's muskie fishing in frequent seminars, articles, and television appearances. His connection to the manufacturing industry continued to deepen as he worked sports shows and other promotions for Abu Garcia, Browning, St. Croix Rods, Lamiglas Rods, Yarcraft, Ranger, Tuffy, and Mercury Motors. Paul is the founder of the Minnesota Muskie Guides Association. While Paul continues to guide and write articles for several publications, his efforts are concentrated on producing the the Minnesota Muskie Tournament Trail. |
